Disney Releases First Trailer for 'Mufasa'
Voice Cast Includes John Kani, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z's Daughter
In exciting news for Disney fans, Blue Ivy Carter, daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, has been added to the voice cast of "Mufasa: The Lion King," a prequel to the 2019 live-action film. The film will explore the origins of Mufasa, the wise and noble king featured in the original "The Lion King" animated classic.
Along with Carter, the voice cast includes John Kani, who voiced Rafiki in the 2019 film. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are also confirmed to be lending their voices to the prequel, though their specific roles have not yet been disclosed.
Disney has released a teaser trailer for "Mufasa," which offers a glimpse at the film's stunning animation and introduces some of the new characters. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 5, 2024.
