Sooners to Host Championship

Oklahoma City, Okla. – University of Oklahoma Softball (49-2) will face Texas (43-19) in the second game of the Women’s College World Series (WCWS) Championship Series on Saturday, June 8 at 8:30 p.m. CT.

The Sooners advanced to the championship series after defeating the No. 1 seed UCLA Bruins (52-6) 5-1 on Thursday night while the Longhorns upset the No. 2 seed Florida Gators 2-1 in extra innings on Friday night.

The 2024 WCWS Championship Series will be a rematch of the 2023 WCWS Championship Series, which Oklahoma won 2-0.

The Sooners are seeking their seventh national championship while the Longhorns are seeking their fifth.

The game will be televised on ESPN and can be streamed on ESPN+.
