Another clean sheet for Newcastle United keeper - Massive clash with England awaits

Newcastle United's Karl Darlow has kept another clean sheet, but it was a disappointing night for England as they drew with Italy in the Nations League.

Darlow had another excellent performance as Newcastle secured a 1-0 victory at Leeds United with a penalty in the second half.

The result means Newcastle have now won three consecutive league games and have moved up to 12th in the Premier League table.

Darlow, making his second start of the season, made a number of crucial saves to deny Leeds and help his team maintain their clean sheet.

Meanwhile, England were held to a goalless draw by Italy in Milan in a match few would call exciting.

Gareth Southgate’s side dominated possession for long periods, but they were unable to create any clear-cut chances to score.

The result means England remain top of their Nations League group, but they will need to improve their attacking play if they want to win the competition.

Next up for Newcastle United is a match with Brentford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.

England, meanwhile, will play Hungary in a friendly on Saturday.
